All rocker assemblies include a refundable core charge in the purchase price, which is either $25 (non-adjustable) or $50 (adjustable). For a full core refund, you must return the same type of rocker assembly as the one you purchased, and we prefer that it is returned in the box that the new rocker assembly came in. You may want to purchase shipping insurance when you return the core, but that is up to your discretion. You can also return more than one core if you like, as we can always use them, however the outright purchase price is $15 for non-adjustable and $40 for adjustable.
The core is only refundable if:
1. The core is the same as the one purchased, OR..... The rocker assembly (core) being returned to Classic Inlines may be a different style than the rocker assembly purchased, however the amount of the core refund will be reduced by $10 dollars. For example, you may return a non-adjustable rocker assembly, even if you purchased an adjustable assembly, however the core refund will be $15 dollars, rather than $25 dollars.
2. The core must be rebuildable.... and free of damage, with the exception of broken rocker arms, in which case a partial refund will be paid providing the pedestals, springs and/or end clips are usable. Classic Inlines has the final say on core condition.
3. The core must be complete, however.... you may disassemble the core for shipping, providing all of the parts and pieces, other than the old shaft, are shipped. Loose parts must be shipped in a plastic bag (preferably a zip-loc) or you can use a thin piece of wire (running it through the parts) to keep them together. Do not ship loose parts, as they may get lost if the box is damaged during shipping.
4. Pedestal caps must be included. If the front pedestal has an oval cap (see photo below), the cap must be included with the core rocker assembly unless otherwise approved. In other words, if we send you a rocker assembly with a #2 or #3 style pedestal, with out the cap, then you'll need to keep the old cap to use with the rebuilt assembly.
5. The core must be returned with the proper information. Cores returned with out paperwork are not eligible for a core refund. Make sure you include your name, address, phone (with
area code) and the original method of payment. The core refund will be issued in the same matter in which you originally paid for the rocker assembly, and it will only be refunded to the original purchaser.
6. The core must be returned within 60 days. All cores must be received within 60 days from the original date of purchase to receive a full refund of the core charge. A 10% fee will be deducted from the refund if the core is received later than sixty days from the original date of purchase. No exceptions.
7. Please clean the parts prior to shipping. While this isn't required, we appreciate it when the parts have been cleaned prior to shipping, even if you don't get them completely clean. This can be done using a de-greaser or oven cleaner, then rinsing the parts with a hose (or at a car wash). If the parts are covered with grease, please wrap them with paper, an old rag, or put them in a plastic bag. PLEASE DO NOT ship greasy or loose parts in peanuts, without wrapping them up first. The peanuts usually brake down into smaller pieces, and get covered in grease, which gets all over everything when we unpack them.
