"THE DYNO ROOM"
|
Classic Inlines spends time on the dyno, testing the progressive Weber DGV-2V, a Holley 350cfm-2V, and an Autolite 240cfm-2V. For the first part of our testing we mounted the
carbs using
the popular 2-1 carb adaptor. For
the
second part, we
tested the same carbs on a "converted" cylinder head, which
allows
the carb to be mounted to the log intake without using
the restrictive 2-1 adaptor.
Our goals were to determine which method and/or carb offered
the best results, to verify the power and torque gains for each,
and to determine which was most cost effective vrs the gains. |

Dyno Results from Pony Carbs
|
In mid May 2008, Classic Inlines visited Pony Carbs to do some joint testing with our new aluminum cylinder heads. During the day, we did 14 dyno runs using the customers current 500cfm Holley, Pony's new Annular Discharge 1V, three Autolite 2V's, and their Autolite 480-4V Spread Bore. Any guess as to which performed best? Click here to find out. Or you can click here to see
the results from previous dyno's on this motor, as well as several other motors
that are using Classic Inlines Aluminum Cylinder Head, stock, and/or modified cylinder heads. |
